INGREDIENTS
+ 2 cups of bone broth
+ 1 cup of any milk of your choice
+ 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
+ 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips or a small piece of dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher)
+ 1 tablespoon of LMNT chocolate salts (optional, for added minerals and flavor)
+ 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
+ 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
+ A pinch of sea salt
directions
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the bone broth and milk of choice. Heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
Whisk in the cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and LMNT chocolate salts (if using) until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Stir in the maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Continue to heat the mixture until it's steaming hot, but not boiling. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream, marshmallows, cinnamon, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder if desired.
