WE’RE MAKING: HOMEMADE GATORADE

Using ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, this refreshing and hydrating drink is perfect for staying cool and replenishing electrolytes during the summer months. With a blend of citrus, watermelon, and other natural ingredients, this homemade version is a healthier alternative to store-bought sports drinks.

YIELDS 2 SERVINGS

INGREDIENTS:

+ lemon or lime (or both)

+ a little bit of muddled watermelon

+ a pinch of The Pink Mountain Salt by Cap Beauty (or any Himalayan salt)

+ a drizzle of manuka honey (you can probably guess that we’re using activist raw manuka )

+ water

method:

PREPARATION: Begin by juicing the lemon and/or lime into a bowl. This will provide a tangy and refreshing base for your drink.

MAKING THE DRINK: Add a bit of muddled watermelon to the citrus juice, enhancing the natural sweetness and adding a hydrating element. Sprinkle a pinch of The Pink Mountain Salt to replenish lost electrolytes. Finally, drizzle a small amount of manuka honey to balance the tartness with a touch of natural sweetness.

FINISHING TOUCHES: Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Pour the mixture over ice in a glass. Fill the glass with water, stir gently, and enjoy your refreshing homemade gatorade.
